Watched Kyozu's steam on Twitch last night - he's a PTS player so he knows his stuff and as a plus he gives a good informative commentary. I recomend you watch if you get the chance as it's interesting to see how players at his level read the game and the tactics they use. Listening to the intereaction between him and his PTS teamates is quite enlightening - cool, detatched, with a lot of thought behind their actions.

As a plus, he is willing to team up with viewers during the stream and give them hints and tips during the game. As his viewer numbers are not that high at the moment that means it could be you! He's next on this Saturday.

Another simple statistics site that I found interesting is the normal WOT player data base. This helped me to identify one of my main growth objectives for the coming 2 months: Increase my damage dealt to damage received ratio.

Wow they have changed it.

IMO they should make those Kill/Death Ratio and Damage Caused/Received meters bit wider Very Happy I checked some good players and their stats are of the scales, literally.

http://www.vbaddict.net/wot.php
handy site to track your progress and efficiency on various diffrent tanks, as well as keeping track of average income/ monthly income or whatever.

example of my profile: http://www.vbaddict.net/player/crazytony0-eu-08fb2ce8b660accc6a737771bb72e74d

it is worth trying this one and looking around all data it gathers and compares, realy nice one.

apps for smartphones: (all free as well btw)
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.enigmapro.wot.knowlege&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS5lbmlnbWFwcm8ud290Lmtub3dsZWdlIl0.
lists more or less all the same data as the 3d model site, as well as a tool to check weakspots yourself under various angles depending on your own gun and ammo,..

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=ru.worldoftanks.mobile&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsInJ1Lndvcmxkb2Z0YW5rcy5tb2JpbGUiXQ..
official app, nice to keep track on news and win rates and so on

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.vtanki.wotstata&feature=search_result#?t=W251bGwsMSwxLDEsImNvbS52dGFua2kud290c3RhdGEiXQ..
stats about your efficiency and so on

if you dont have a smartphone but want to get a try on these, you can download this virtual android for free, wich alows you to do all the same: http://www.bluestacks.com/

Bastard, I was literally just about to suggest this. Downloaded it on my Android cell a couple of days ago and its brilliant. All the tank models are there, as well as armor models, hit zones, and all the stats you can think of.
The really amazing bit of the map is the Armour Piercer. Simply put, and to expand on crazytony0's description, you pick an enemy tank - say, IS3 - and it will display a model of the IS-3. Then you pick your weapon of choice - say, the 20pdr gun on an Centurion I, and you pick the shell, for instance a standard AP shell. You can then move the model around by dragging the screen, and the colour of areas on the model will turn from grey (auto-deflect due to angle) to red (very high chance of bouncing) to green (high chance of pen) to blue (100% chance to pen). Finally, if you want, the distance. Long-range shots have a fairly small penetration falloff as the shell loses forward velocity. This app even factors that in. It's bloody amazing. Its fairly useless if you're on the field staring down the barrel of an FV215b 183, obviously, as you can't have your cell out to try match the angling on the enemy tank to work out where to shoot.
I've used this a lot to work out how best to angle my IS-6 against various enemy targets. My mortal enemy (aside from most t9 tanks) is the IS-3 - so what I do is load the IS-6 model into the piercer, load up the top tier IS-3 gun with standard AP, and look at the weakspots on the IS-6 armour, adjusting the angle of the tank here and there to work out how best to orient myself against such a shot.

Here's a screenshot of what I mean.

As you can see, the more green areas of the T29 are more likely to be penned by the gun of choice - the KV-3's 122mm cannon with standard AP. The areas with less than 10' sloping are auto-grayed out. And the super thick T-29 turret armour clearly indicates by its red colour that shooting that is pointless with that gun. However, the front plate has a large green patch - so shooting this is a good idea.
As you can guess, changing the orientation of the enemy tank model, or distance, would change the colourings depending on angling of armour.

If anyone here has an Android cell, I seriously seriously seriously recommend this app. As you can probably tell, I'm a big fan of the armour piercer.
