Really nice, I'm surprised by the level of detail. All those tools, viewports and wheels look so nice.

wow, that's surprisingly affordable, relatively speaking, that means in like a decade it'll be a few hundred euros, that's cool. Smile

It is affordable, the problem at the time is not really the expense of 3d printing, it's the speed. It takes too long time for anything to be created in an efficient manner of time due to the need to heat the plastic etc.

vallu, detail can be better, i ran into a couple of problems during this print wich i think i can slove next time, thus increase the detail and take out to mistakes (eg, the tank is acutaly higher then it should be, it jumped 2 times like 1mm higher while it shouldnt)
prices for 3d printers are actualy lower then 2k, mine is 1.4(needs to be self assembled) but some go as low as 600 dollars(solidoodle)however quality is said to be less. But the technology is changing rapidly, prices should drop lower, while quality and reliablilty whould rise.
But like kawa says, it is still slow, and with the current reliability problems, u need to be in the vicinity while printing, wich is a handycap.

BTW there is (ar at least was when I last visited around 2000) a nice Jagdpanther on display at the Imperial War Museum in London. Complete with anti-magnetic coating against mines and impressive penetration holes in the side. Definitely recommended (for a lot of other reasons as well) for anyone going to London or having a stopover there.

Update, cheaper 3d printers can be aquired for 400 usd.

It's the size that determines the price mostly, as bigger 3d printers can obviously print larger objects.
